A Little Trip to Moab

For my birthday Doug "surprised" me with a trip to down to Moab.  (He was, of course,  smart enough to know that I would freak out if I hadn't packed, so it was a surprise with plenty of notice!)  Doug's parents watched Daxton for us, and although I did miss the little guy, it just would not have worked if he had been with us.  And, it was fun to spend some time together, just the two of us.

We spent most of our time in Arches.  On Friday we explored the Fiery Furnace.  Without a tour guide.  Aren't we daring? (We didn't even get lost.)  And, on Saturday we hiked up to Delicate Arch.

It was a fun trip, and a great birthday.  But, by Saturday afternoon we were missing our Daxton.  We're sort of attached to him, and he was so happy to see us.  It's good to be together again!
